Going back to Shetland

It's now just a few days...

Until we set off to the most northerly part of the British Isles, Unst in Shetland.  For me, it will be the first  time that I have travelled to these islands, but for David it will be something more;  a return to somewhere he holds special in his memories for many reasons. Perhaps the remote and wild beauty of the islands, or maybe the most exhilarating sailing anywhere, mostly though he talks about the warmth and friendliness of Shetland folk.

We set sail from Aberdeen on 3rd July aboard the
 MV Hjaitland bound for Lerwick.
Our first day and night will most likely be spent  quite close to Lerwick.  The next day we will be  heading in a northerly direction across the Island of  Yell,  the most northerly location that you can get to  in the British Isles, Unst!

Saturday will see us enjoying the Uyeasound Regatta
and Sunday will see the start of Unstfest - Britains
most northerly festival.  http://www.unstfest.org/

Tickets booked, ferry times arranged,  motorhome
ready, well almost!  Excited?  You betcha!  Shetland
here we come!
