Day 1

Shetland - Not in a box!
It's amazing, just a couple of hours on the road and the weather changes with the scenery.
Our first stop looks to be the usual field type CL but turns out to be far from usual; all mod cons, two sets of toilet blocks, excellent showers and warm, welcoming people. The view in all directions is outstanding and you can see wonderful countryside for miles with no road noise.

The only penetrating sound was the announcement of a curlew which settled down beside us, having made clear its arrival was imminent.

This lovely farm consists of 149 acres, mostly rearing sheep and cattle.

Another beautiful view looking
across Arkengarthdale.
